Land sale helps with new artificial turf field

A school district in Coquitlam, B.C. has approved the sale of 1.2 acres of land at an elementary school to the city in exchange for a new artificial turf field at a new high school. The chairman of the city’s sports advisory committee said the transaction reduces land costs, construction, maintenance costs and maximizes the use of public assets.
