Another industry event has been cancelled as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The Kent-Essex Greenkeepers’ Society (KEGS) has cancelled its annual education day. In an association-wide memo to its members, the KEGS executive stated:
“Hey everyone. We have been trying to put this off for as long as possible, hoping this chaos would blow over, but unfortunately with all the recent restrictions and closures we have to cancel the 2020 KEGS Education Day. We put a lot of time and organizing in trying to plan this day, it is truly upsetting that it had to lead to this. But everyone’s health and safety is priority at this time in our world. For those of you that still require CECs for this year, the OGSA and GCSAA have provided a great selection of webinars for free until June 1st. I will attach the file containing all the info needed for this service. For whatever reason if it doesn’t work, please contact me directly at greggmenard@hotmail.com and I will send it to you. Again I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and hope we can get back to normal living soon. Thanks again, stay healthy and safe out there.”
