Kamloops, B.C. has become the first Canadian city to win two Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) awards in the same year for its field conditioning.

Norbrock Stadium was recognized as the STMA’s field of the year in the schools and parks (baseball) category while Tournament Capital Ranch was honoured as field of the year in the schools and parks (softball) category. Norbrock won the same award in 2018.

Criteria used in the judging process include field grooming, fertility practices and partnerships with user groups.

Kamloops was in competition with other municipalities from around the world among private and public sector organizations.
