Iron chelate dropped this year for dandelion control on Edmonton sports turf
City will instead mow and use other measures to save money

Edmonton is discontinuing its use of iron chelate to combat dandelions on its city sports fields. The herbicide had been used on more than 1,000 fields since 2017, but the city will rely this year on mowing and other practices to keep weeds down and save money.
