Investing in money-losing golf course could save it from closure: London councillor
Municipal course was temporarily closed last season

London’s municipal River Road Golf Course, which was temporarily closed last year after city staff said it was losing money, might still be able to operate under a new mindset, one councillor suggests. By investing in the sport, the city might be able to do away with its “golf pays for golf” principle, he says. Holding weddings and other events at the course could boost revenues, he added.
