Investigation of cancer deaths of Phillies players found turf field contained ‘forever chemicals’
Six Philadelphia Phillies ballplayers died of same brain cancer after years of playing on old artificial turf at Veterans Stadium

The deaths of six former Philadelphia Phillies baseball players – each of whom died from the same type of brain cancer – are linked to a common denominator, according to an investigation. It’s been discovered that the artificial turf playing surface at the team’s former stadium contained compounds known as “forever chemical” or PFAS.
