Indigenous-owned landscape/snow removal business founded in Winnipeg following job loss due to COVID

After losing his job as a bartender during the COVID-19 pandemic, a St. Vital, Man. man turned his attention to a new pursuit – landscaping and snow removal services. Brendan Merasty is the owner of Macho Maintenance, an Indigenous-owned business that serves the Winnipeg area with additional services that include home repairs, junk removal and moving and hauling. He says the significant amount of snow impacting the area this year has kept him busy.
