High waters affecting some holes, but Winnipeg city courses to open modified layouts

Winnipeg’s city-owned golf courses will begin to open for the season on Friday following a longer-than-normal winter and a wet spring.

Kildonan Park is scheduled to open Friday in a modified nine-hole format. Crescent Drive will open Saturday, and Windsor Park will open May 10 as a modified layout.

Both Kildonan Park and Windsor Park have holes that have been taken out of play by high water levels.
