Heavily damaged Milton, Ont. sports dome won’t reopen until at least fall 2024

It won’t be until at least the fall of 2024 when Milton, Ont.’s indoor sports field dome reopens.

The dome was damaged beyond repair last December following a major wind storm. The facility had been operated by the town for 10 years, but the town is seeking a private operator for the air-supported dome’s installation, operation and maintenance through a potential partnership with the town and the Halton Catholic District School Board.

The town is continuing its continuing its insurance claim process since the December storm.

The facility provided the town with more than $220,000 in revenue in 2022.
