City spends $44,000 on new sod for fallen field

Hamilton’s William Connell Park has a brand new playing surface – its second in less than a year. The city spent $44,000 on sod to revive the sports field that had succumbed to drought and grub damage during the summer. The brand new field realized a setback when an irrigation line was severed earlier, resulting in a rapid decline of its quality.
