Halton Region is calling on the Ford government to act immediately to protect Oakville’s Glen Abbey Golf Club property. Owner ClubLink wishes to develop the property for more than 3,000 residential units and 127,000 square feet of office and retail space. A Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) hearing is scheduled for August. Halton’s resolution to get the province involved was unanimously passed Wednesday by regional councillors.
