Halifax tree expert assesses damage from hurricane and ponders canopy’s future
Plans are to add 26,000 trees in next decade

A tree expert from Dalhousie University has reflected upon the extensive damage caused to trees in Halifax during Hurricane Fiona and ponders how trees might fare in the future if similar storms hit the area. Halifax Regional Municipality plans to add more than 26,000 trees in the municipality in the next decade and each succeeding decade.
