GTI suffers fire damage

Fire broke out at the Guelph Turfgrass Institute Aug. 24, but was contained to a chemical storage room on the building's west side.
The city's fire department responded to the blaze shortly after 5:30 p.m.
No one was injured. According to the fire department, the fire started in a chemical research oven. An estimate of damages was not known at the time of the fire, and the incident is still under investigation.
