Green Party Vancouver councillor wants gas-powered landscaping tools banned

One of Vancouver’s city councillors – a member of the Green Party – is pushing for a municipal ban on gasoline-powered landscaping equipment. Adriane Carr says the equipment’s two-stroke gas engines emit pollution at greater rates than vehicles, and is prepared to introduce a motion to have such equipment banned by 2025.
