The report card on ARTY – the City of Grande Prairie, Alta.’s autonomous mower/snowbot – shows an “A” for its summer mowing performance while a grade for its winter snow-clearing performance remains indeterminate. In a recent progress report to the city, the robotic machine’s snow-clearing ability fared well in a three-kilometre test loop, but some programming issues need to be addressed with its manufacturer.
