Grand Valley, Ont. looking for cheaper topsoil fill for sports field construction project

New ball diamonds under construction

Construction is well underway at a park in Grand Valley, Ont. that will accommodate new baseball diamonds, but council wishes to look elsewhere for topsoil fill, wishing to pass on a quote of $140,000. Council has opted to see if fill can be obtained elsewhere at a cheaper cost. The town is also planning to add soccer fields at the site.
