Dealing with COVID (Again)
Gradually reopen recreation facilities, starting with golf: Toronto deputy mayor
Stephen Holyday writes open letter to Ontario Premier Doug Ford
Not all sports – including golf – have the same risks, a City of Toronto deputy mayor is telling Ontario Premier Doug Ford. Stephen Holyday, an Etobicoke councillor, stressed in an open letter to the premier that golf and tennis are different from other sports in that they allow for “safe spatial separation outdoors,” and pose a much smaller risk in the spread of COVID-19. Outdoor recreation facilities could be opened gradually, he suggested, beginning with golf and tennis.
