Golf’s reopening in Northern Ontario ‘insane’ in spite of some cooler weather
Short notice had courses scrambling to bring in staff

The reopening weekend of golf in Northern Ontario was “insane,” with tee times booked solid and few cancellations – even with less-than-ideal weather on Sunday. By Victoria Day on Monday, golfers were on the links in full force. When the announcement by the Ontario government was made on Thursday, allowing golf courses to reopen a couple of weeks ahead of schedule during the extended stay-at-home order, courses were scrambling to bring staff back with short notice.
