Golf course owners request more time from Kelowna city council to determine property’s future

The owners of the Kelowna Springs Golf Club property are seeking more time from city council to determine future plans for the land. The owners wish to hear from golfers and other community members before devising a final plan. Council had earlier voted to change the zoning designation of the property to private recreational from industrial. Some residents have argued that development of the property could lead to flooding, adding the golf course currently acts like a sponge for rain and melting snow.
