Golf club seeks city compensation for use of toboggan hill

A hill at the Couchiching Golf & Country Club has been popular among tobogganers for years, but the club now wants the city to pay for its use.

Oct. 9, 2019 – Orillia, Ont.’s Couchiching Golf & Country Club wants the city to fork over $12,000 to allow the public to use a popular hill on the course for winter tobogganing. The club has told the city it has permitted use of the hill at no charge for several years, but recent financial pressures have forced the club to seek compensation.
