GoFundMe account established for Niagara superintendent’s recovery from stroke
Ivaylo Valov still in Buffalo hospital
January 20, 2023 By Turf & Rec

A GoFundMe account has been set up for Royal Niagara Golf Club superintendent Ivaylo Valov who suffered a massive stroke last month while in Buffalo, N.Y.
Valov, an active member of the Niagara and Southern Ontario network of superintendents for more than 20 years, underwent surgery in Buffalo and is still there recovering. Plans are for him to be transferred to an Ontario hospital once he regains strength and stability.
Once he returns to Ontario, he will work with specialists and therapists in his efforts to return to good health. With additional help from his wife, Janet, and daughter, Alex, Valov looks forward to being reunited with his grandson, Marcus.
His colleagues in the industry are urging others to help raise funds for his care and recovery.
