Freak southern Ontario snowfall causes no ill effects to golf course turf
More favourable weather expected in coming days
April 20, 2022 By Turf & Rec
Monday’s untimely snowfall in much of southern Ontario had no negative effects on golf course turf, but forced temporary closures.
Roseland Golf and Curling Club head golf professional Dave Deluzio said the Windsor golf course is in great shape and chemical was applied beforehand, but the unpredictable weather of late has the number of rounds played thus far below traditional standards for this time of year.
With no prolonged turf damage and more favourable weather expected in the days ahead, Roseland expects to be busy.
