Former volunteer firefighter charged with arson at London golf course clubhouse
Golf course was to be winter homeless shelter site
November 19, 2021 By CBC News

A city worker who was once a volunteer firefighter has been charged with arson in the recent blaze at London, Ont.’s River Road Golf Course clubhouse. The former municipal course was to house local homeless residents this winter, but the $1-million fire has forced a change of plans. Original plans called for meals to be prepared in the clubhouse building, and it was to be a place where the homeless could shower and use the restrooms.
