Former B.C. superintendent of the year dies

Jim Dafoe, golf superintendent of the year in 2010 in British Columbia, died Oct. 7 from complications in his battle with cancer. He was superintendent at Fairwinds Golf Course in Nanoose Bay, B.C.
According to the British Columbia Golf Superintendents Association, he will best be remembered for his quiet and gentle unassuming nature as well as his unwavering professionalism in his career.
