Focus on residential snow, Landscape Ontario executive advises private snow contractors

In order for snow contractors to survive in an era of escalating insurance rates, they should focus on residential snow, have contracts that are iron clad, and not sign any contract with clients that hold them harmless with the exception of negligence on the part of the contractor. Such is the advice of the treasurer and vice-president-elect of Landscape Ontario. Snow contractors across Canada are plagued with soaring insurance rates in recent years, forcing some out of the business.
