First phase of Kitchener park to open in 2019

The new South Kitchener District Park is set to open in 2019 even though the third phase of construction isn’t expected to be complete until 2025. The first phase of the project will include two artificial turf fields, one natural turf football field, a multi-purpose field, a cricket pitch and well-lit soccer fields.
