Fire, explosions destroy maintenance shed, equipment at Caradoc Sands Golf Club

Caradoc Sands Golf Club in Strathroy, Ont. suffered a major setback on Tuesday when fire destroyed a maintenance equipment shed and everything inside it.

The fire was accompanied by explosions at the site. No one was injured from the incident.

Local firefighters responded to the blaze, using aerial apparatus to battle the fire.

The golf club reached out to golfers and the community, thanking them for their support and warning the fire’s aftermath will contribute to some disruptions in the short term.
