Canada’s ambitious tree-planting strategy has been ramped up with plans to double the number planted this year in 2022, and then increasing to 300 million per year by 2027. It is estimated 30 million trees were planted this year on the way to a two-billion target by 2030. The program is on track toward meeting its goal, says Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson.
