Environmental group pushes to save B.C. golf course from residential development
Royal York Golf Course important to Armstrong's aging population
Efforts to save the Royal York Golf Course in Armstrong, B.C. from residential development are being pushed by the Armstrong Green Space Society. The society’s president argues the course has existed as a community access facility for 30 years and is important to the more than 40 per cent of the local population who are seniors, adding the need for more water supply, wastewater management and sewage disposal will put a strain on taxpayers.
