The City of Edmonton is discouraging local residents from mowing city-owned green spaces this year. Many residents took it upon themselves to cut municipal green spaces in 2020 after the city cut back on its turf maintenance program. Although services have yet to return to pre-pandemic levels, the city has announced it plans to improve its turf maintenance services this year on a 10-to-14-day schedule with premium parks and sports fields being maintained every week to 10 days.
