Double-dome indoor sports facility’s construction is underway in Stoufville, Ont.

Ground has been broken for the construction of a new sports dome at Ballantrae Park in Stouffville, Ont.

The structure will include two domes: an air-supported, 125,000-square-foot facility for multi-use training and competition, and a smaller 50,000-square-foot indoor court to accommodate various court sports.

The domes will be connected by a 7,600-square-foot clubhouse that will include a reception area, boardroom and offices.

The complex, which is expected to open later this year, will provide a venue for several different sporting activities.
