Dog walkers fined almost $700 apiece for entering closed soccer field
Police clamping down on violators of Emergency Measures Act
April 1, 2020 By CBC News
A pair of women who chose to walk their dogs in a closed soccer field in Truro, N.S. have each been ticketed almost $700 for violating the Emergency Measures Act. Since the province declared a state of emergency on March 22, tickets weren’t initially handed out to violators to allow for a period of education, but efforts have since been stepped up to clamp down on offenders.
