
Although the conditions of the natural turf field at Toronto’s BMO Field—site of Sunday’s Grey Cup game—were widely praised by both the Ottawa Redblacks and the Calgary Stampeders, the synthetic turf end zones were another matter. Players were forced to adapt to two different types of surfaces during the course of the game, and it may have had a role to play in the game’s outcome.
