Data shows golf’s continued growth in Canada in wake of COVID-19 pandemic
Rounds played in 2022 up 7.5 per cent above 2021

Golf in Canada continued its rate of growth in 2022 that began two years earlier during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Lightspeed Commerce, which produces golf course data management, golf rounds in North America increased 9.6 per cent in 2022 over 2021 numbers. The Canadian rate of increase was 7.5 per cent, with British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec leading the pack with respective round increases of 15.9, 10.2 and eight per cent.
