Cost of indoor artificial turf replacement $100,000 more than city had budgeted
Penticton council approves heftier price tag
February 15, 2022 By Turf & Rec

It’s going to cost the City of Penticton, B.C. $100,000 more than originally budgeted to replace the artificial turf surface at the Penticton Sportsplex. In spite of the cost increase – attributed to inflation – the city has approved the expenditure, noting the existing indoor turf surface has exceeded its useful life. The Sportsplex houses the only indoor turf facility south of West Kelowna, accommodating user groups from as far away as Osoyoos.
