Cornell turf specialist takes swipe at No Mow May, saying idea is counterproductive

An Associated Press gardening columnist, in speaking with a Cornell turfgrass specialist, says the No Mow May campaign is s terrible idea. “It’s such a nice slogan, but letting the grass grow high and allowing it to do its thing, and then suddenly mowing it back is really counterproductive,” says Tamson Yeh, turf specialist with New York-based Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County.
