ClubLink wins its Court of Appeal case to pursue development at Kanata golf course property

ClubLink, owner of the Kanata Golf & Country Club, has won its Ontario Court of Appeal case to pursue residential development on the property. Friday’s ruling reverses an earlier decision from the lower court that would have banned ClubLink from building on the site. Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said the city now plans to seek leave to appeal before the Supreme Court of Canada. Friday’s court case dealt with a 1981 agreement between the then City of Kanata and developers to keep at least 40 per cent of the property as green space.
