Health experts say the Ontario government needs to re-evaluate its decision to shut down golf courses in its strategy to curtail the spread of COVID-19. Colin Furness, an infection control epidemiologist at the University of Toronto, says people should be out playing golf, suggesting the current wave of the pandemic is workplace driven. The government’s decision to shut down golf courses at this time is “really perverse,” he says.
