Chances slim Blumberg golf course will be sold, Winnipeg councillor figures

A Winnipeg city councillor says the chances of the city-owned John Blumberg Golf Course being sold are slim. The mayor’s executive policy committee voted 4-3 on Wednesday against the sale of the golf course. The matter is now in the hands of city council, but it must receive two-thirds approval before it can proceed. Coun. Brian Mayes said he figures any sale of the course faces long odds, suggesting saving green space is a priority.
