Cedarhurst Golf Club one of several Stanley Thompson-designed courses celebrating 100 years

Cedarhurst Golf Club in Beaverton, Ont. is celebrating its centennial anniversary this year. It is one of several Stanley Thompson designs marking 100 years this year. Originally founded as a three-hole course, it expanded to nine holes soon afterward and doubled in size to 18 holes in the 1960s. More recently, the club engaged in a significant tree removal program.
