CanWest Hort Show Sept. 18 in Vancouver

Western Canada's premier horticultural trade show, CanWest, will be held Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Vancouver Convention Centre, West.

Speakers include Kevin Kehoe of Three Point in California who will discuss "real world" strategies employed by successful contracting firms. The focus of the workshop is on tactics for branding, pricing, lead generation, sales management systems and salesmanship.

Gregory Pierceall, professor emeritus, Purdue Landscape Architecture in Indiana, will conduct a clinic to teach what successful small spaces look like along with the diversity of design opportunities available.

Another session looking at the fundamentals of green roofs and living walls will be presented during the day.
Twelve industry leaders, including Randy Sharp of Sharp and Diamond will cover the fundamentals of design, installation and maintenance of green roofs and walls.

Registration is $250 for members of the British Columbia Landscape Nursery Association and $300 for non-members. The cost of registration increases to $350 after Sept. 7. The fee includes lunch, refreshments and a trade show badge.
