Calgary’s municipal golf courses report record number of golfers playing in 2021
40,000+ more than pre-COVID average
October 22, 2021 By CBC News

A record number of golfers flocked to Calgary’s seven municipal courses in 2021. About 260,000 people visited the golf courses this season, and John Faber, the city’s acting golf lead, figures the record numbers are likely a result of COVID-19, which has been “a bit of a blessing” for the golf industry. It’s estimated between 40,000 and 45,000 more people visited the city’s municipal golf courses in 2021 than the pre-COVID three-year average.
