Burlington G&CC plans June ‘virtual’ tournament to celebrate centennial anniversary

Big plans are in store for the 100th anniversary celebration of the Burlington Golf & Country Club, and organizers are hoping the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t spoil the party. On June 16, select club members will tee off in a virtual cross-country tournament with golfers from 25 other Canadian clubs celebrating centennial anniversaries. COVID forced the cancellation of a planned New Year’s Eve celebration at the club, and a Feb. 18 anniversary curling bonspiel may succumb to the same fate.
