Brampton councillor fears proposed city cricket field’s cost could be substantially more

A decision on whether to proceed with a proposed new cricket stadium in Brampton, Ont. won’t be made until next month after the city’s budget committee has had a chance to review it. The estimated cost for the 5,000-seat stadium is $35 million, but Coun. Jeff Bowman said he’s found similar stadiums in the United States have cost in the hundreds of thousands to build.
