Black-legged tick in Sudbury area tests positive for bacteria causing Lyme disease

The Sudbury area has confirmed its first positive test this season for a black-legged tick carrying the bacteria that can cause Lyme disease. Typical symptoms of a tick bite include a bull’s eye-shaped rash, fever, headache and muscle pain. Left untreated Lyme disease can cause heart problems and issues with joints and the nervous system.
