Black bear encounter forces Vancouver Golf Club to shut down for the day

Course's policy is to leave wildlife alone

The Vancouver Golf Club was forced to shut down for the day on Tuesday after a close encounter between golfers and a black bear. “Our policy is to let wildlife be wild… to leave them alone,” golf club general manager Richard Creally said. The course remained closed for the remainder of the day as a precaution.
