Belleville to study upgrades to football field in time for new junior team’s opener

The acquisition of a Canadian Junior Football League team in Belleville will require a number of major upgrades to Mary Ann Sills Park in time for the team’s first game next August. New turf will be needed over the next five years, but immediate upgrades include bleachers, press box, moving of a light pole, fencing and Internet connectivity. The estimated cost for the first phase of the project is $500,000.
