Sept. 19, 2018 – Bear sightings in the Ottawa area have numbered more than 60 so far this month, and one of the most recent occurred on the weekend at the Champlain Golf Course. An adult black bear was seen by golfers running around the course before it ended up in a tree, where it stayed for two days.
