Baseball field vandalized by dirt biker; chances of it being used this season unlikely

A recently renovated baseball field in New Germany, N.S. has been vandalized by an apparent dirt biker and appears to be sidelined for use this season. An individual who helps to maintain the field says the damage is extensive enough that it is unlikely repairs can be made in time for it to be used this year. A new $6,000 fence was recently installed at the field. The facility is used by the local high school baseball team and others in the community who play mostly on weekends.
