Barrie Baycats baseball team makes pitch for $400,000 in stadium upgrades

Upgrades will make ball park more fan friendly

Barrie, Ont.’s Intercounty Baseball League team is looking to upgrade its home field to the tune of about $400,000. The Baycats team has made a pitch to the city’s finance and corporate services committee for the funding that would make Coates Stadium more fan-friendly, with bigger accommodations for visiting and local media and a mezzanine for spectators and corporate gatherings.
